Dover Winter Ales Festival

It starts this Friday afternoon and is usually a rum old evening. Held at the splendidly ancient Maison Dieu building this festival is traditionally the start of the beer year around here. The old duffers (none meant) have even gotten around to making a web site to tell you all about it, which is odd since it's always a complete sell out.

Look out for a rare cask of Exodus Stout at 6.6%, drink halves, drink slowly and leave a tad earlier for the train than you would normally and no one will get hurt.
