Kent Green Hop Beer

We Kentish brewers, and brewers of Kent, are privileged by our location; we're in the heart of the UK hop growing region and we can just nip out to the gardens and pick fresh, bright green hops for brewing. Brewing with fresh hops is akin to cooking with fresh herbs - they add dimension, depth and, well, a certain freshness. Unlike many herbs though, hops only ripen in early September and so it is then that we get our chance. Allowing a week to brew, and a week to mature and the Kent Green Hop Beers are fit, fresh and ready to drink by the end of September.

Kent Green Hop Beer Fortnight runs from Friday 28th September through to Sunday October 14th. It kicks off in Dane John Gardens in Canterbury, at the Food & Drink Fare, where you can try each and every Kent Green Hop Beer from nearly every Kent Brewery. Come along, meet hop growers, brewers, merchants and publicans, all raising a glass to another, hopefully successful, harvest.
